My name came in list of Bhopal zone of RVNL but i am final year student and donot have final degre so should i go for interview?

but i called him and he said how you added avg cgpa of all semester then i said i only filled upto 7 sem.then he said you r not eligible. again i said . sir, i will complete all requirement after final result come . there is confusion. so please tell me clearly .and should i do anything for this?
