JEE Main 2025: College Predictor | Marks vs Percentile vs Rank
New: JEE Seat Matrix- IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTI | NITs Cutoff
Don't Miss: Best Public Engineering Colleges
After the last round of JOSAA ,you need to report to your institute and after that a list of vacant seats will be released by JOSAA containing details of emty seats and seats where students failed to report.you have to fill up the fresh choice and then you can expect a downfall in rank ranging from 1k to even 20k to 40k in some courses ,so there is a chance all the best.
With 43k obc category rank your chances of getting a decent government engineering college are negligible.
I would suggest you to go for private colleges or state universities.
Having said that cutoffs change every year depending upon level of toughness of exam and number of students appearing etc.

Good luck
Hello,
As per the last year trends and the amount of seats filled till now, your scope for a seat in government colleges like NITs and IIITs through CSAB is very less until and unless you have a home state quota of North East. The colleges tend to go empty in regular rounds and have closing ranks around even 50k CRL untill the counselling closes but for OBC, it is highly unlikely that closing ranks would drop till 43k. Though you still might get lucky with a decent branch in any lesser known GFTIs, though taking those colleges should be done only after thorough research. Otherwise the chances are very less.
Thank You
