Hello Amogh,
Well to get any NITs, first you have clear the JEE Main cutoff as per your category. The JEE Main 2019 cutoff for CRL is 89.75 percentile and for GEN-EWS its 78.21 percentile. Now, if you fall under CRL category then it would be hard for you to get a seat in NIT as you didn't cleared the cutoff as per your category and if you fall in GEN-EWS then as per the rules you have cleared the cutoff and is eligible to get a seat in NITs. But, whatever the category may be the procedure for admission is same. You have to go through JoSAA counselling inorder to get a seat in NITs. Seats will be alloted to you on the basis of your JEE Main score/rank. If you didn't get a seat through JoSAA but is JEE Main qualified as per your category then you can go for CSAB counselling. CSAB counselling will begin after the JoSAA counselling ends. Through CSAB JEE Main qualified candidates can get seats in NITs,IIITs or GFTIs.
