I have got 62000 rank in jee main paper 2 ; can I get a good college?

Hello Gajender,

There is some chance in your home state(the state from where you passed your class 12th from) because of the cutoffs for home state candidates in relatively lower as compared for outside state candidates.

So, if you are fortunate enough, you might as well land in the NIT of your choice but I am sorry to say that you have no chance for admission in top NITs and IIITs because the seats fill at 10000 max even for their home state candidates.

So, I would recommend you to look for the branch of your interest now because if you are aiming to get CS, mechanical or ECE it would very difficult to take admission in NITs. So choose wisely!

Your chances of getting a good NIT through this much rank in your JEE mains examination is very low. You should better take a year drop and prepare for JEE mains again. You should also check the link below if you want to know about the colleges that you can get :
