My son general cat. jee adv.rank is 10446.which college and rank expected.

My son got 3742 rank in jee main.Hehas passed 12th with 97% and he qualify jee advanced with 7545 rank. Resident of Bihar and in general cat

Hello sir,

Congratulation to your son for qualifying jee advance with 10446 rank but 10446 rank is hardly sufficient to get you admission into any prestigious IITs with core branches. He can hardly manage to get admission into any IITs with non core 5 year integrated courses.

IITs in which he can get seats are.

ISM Dhanbad - environmental engineering, mineral engineering, mining , mining machinery , applied goelogy , applied geophysics.
IIT Jammu - civil engineering, mechanical engineering
IIT Roorkee - chemistry
IIT Palakkad - civil engineering
IIT Tirupati - civil engineering
IIT BHU- pharmaceutical engineering, industrial chemistry , pharmaceutical technology (dual course)

First of all Congratulating your son on such a nice performance. As per as previous year cut off are concerned.

He can get following...

C. S, IT - iit mandi,iit Bhuvaneshwar, iit jodhpur

Mechanical electrical and electronics - iit varansi , iit guwahati etc

Hello Virendra Gupta,i would suggest you to get admission in IISERs and IISTs as they are very high reputed institutes.On the other hand getting into IITs is very difficult.Even if he get into IITs,he will not get a descent branch unless he is from SC/St category.
