My son, Soumyadeep Roy, secured 99% in the ICSE examinations. However, his name does not appear on the list of toppers. Why did this happened?
Hello Dear Student,
Scoring 99% in ICSE is an outstanding achievement, so congratulations to your son, Soumyadeep Roy .
One possible reason his name may not appear in the topper list is that many boards, including CISCE , sometimes:
- do not officially publish detailed topper lists, or
- list only students with the absolute highest marks/ranks.
Also, multiple students may score around 99%, and the board may use specific criteria such as:
- exact aggregate calculation,
- subject-wise marks, or
- tie-breaking methods
for official topper recognition.
Regardless of the published list, a 99% score is exceptional and will be highly valued for future admissions and opportunities.
Hope it helps!
