NCERT is enough for neet?? or we have to do other books??
NCERT is the basic book that you need to study for qualifying the NEET exam. If you study only from NCERT then you will qualify the exam but getting the top government colleges will be very difficult. For getting a good rank, you need to study some other books as well. Some of the books are given below:
For Physics-
Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma
Objective Physics By DC Pandey
Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker
Fundamental Physics by Pradeep
Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov
For Chemistry-
Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
Dinesh Chemistry Guide
Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)
For Biology-
Biology Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Trueman
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Objective Botany by Ansari
Pradeep Guide on Biology
GR Bathla publications for Biology
Apart from these, you should give mock tests regularly after completing each chapter. Also do not forget to solve the previous year question papers atleast twice, as they give you an idea of the trending questions.
Hope this information helps you.
Good luck!!
Hello Dear,
NCERT books are enough to qualify the examination but to get a good score/ rank one must refer to other books as well. Since both AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS have merged with NEET, NTA is expected to raise the bar for NEET every year. 85% of the questions in the NEET exams conducted during the past decade are from the NCERT books and reference materials. With this analysis, you can consider NCERT as a trustworthy source of preparation for NEET.
Good Luck
