neet eligible criteria means able to get medical gov seat and able to seat in counseling?

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary cpurses across India. When it says NEET eligibility criteria, it means the criteria to be met to appear for NEET exam. If you NEET eligibility criteria but do not qualify in NEET, you do not get to attend counselling or secure a seat in Medical College. NEET eligibikity criteria are:

1. Should be 17 years atleast by December 31st of the year of admission.
2. You shoul have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in your 12th. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now we understand that this is where you are confused. Lets say you secured 60 in Biology, 40 in Physics and 50 in Chemistry. This is including your Theory and Practicals. Now your average in these 3 subjects is 50%. Because you belong to OBC, you need to secure a minimum aggregate of 40% in these 3 subjects. You needn't score 40 in all these 3 subjects individually. You still are eligible for NEET with this score.
