It totally depends on your category and which NIT you want. Some NIT have opening rank at one and closing at one lakhs fifty thousands. This is just a rough idea. For NIT Delhi opening rank is around fifty and closing rank is around forty thousand.

Hello Madhawendra, There are in total 31 NITs and the cutoff at each one of them is different. Generally, top ranked NITs have higher cutoffs owing to higher number of applications. Also, the cutoff rank may vary depending on the course opted for admission, for example computer science being a much in demand course, almost always have a stiff cutoff. That is not all, the cutoff also depends on the category you belong to.
