Firstly, Appear for XIIth Board examinations ( Score good ). Then Appear for JEE main(Score Good). Wait for results (Qualify).Wait For declaration of AIR.Register for Josaa counselling.You will get NIT if your rank is in the range for the college of your choice.Admissions in IITs/ NITs/ IIITs and other CFTIs – at least 75% marks in class 12th, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th class exam conducted by the respective board, to qualify for admissions. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% marks. The top 3 NITs are - NITT- National Institute of Technology,Tiruchirappalli, SVNIT - Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat and VNIT - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. Basically NITs have good packages. But its not the same for all NITs . Lower ranked NITs ' don't get very attractive packages. But yes, a good college makes life a lot easier.
