The NMMS 2025–26 examination is expected to be an objective-type test conducted in offline mode. It consists of two sections: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). MAT checks reasoning and logical thinking, while SAT is based on Class 7 and 8 level Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. All questions are multiple-choice, and the syllabus follows the NCERT curriculum.
