Now how is presidency university Kolkata?? If I get admission in Geology there in this year should I take admission there???

Yes, you should take admission in Presidency colleges. Earlier it was one of the top colleges in the country and its grandeur is still maintained being one of the oldest. About the subject, if you like Geology, you should take admission, if not, you shouldn't as the subject is really important.

If i talk about placements then,

There's a separate dedicated cell in Presidency University to look after placements and other related issues.

Department of Geography, has a long and continuing history of producing laurels in the field of Geography. Geography is mostly chosen a right option for higher studies and research. Students have ample opportunities to join independent internships programme (stipend and non - stipend). Though the department has a placement cell, mostly students opt for research at national reputed institutions I. e. IIT and also universities abroad.

Presidency University being an arts and science university does not offer much placements. The economics department guarantees some sort of placements to its post-graduation students, but it is not at all at par compared to other universities as such.

So, you can choose this college for perusing your bachelors in geography, rest depends on you.
