You should apply for CAT in your B.Tech final year. Then you can take admission to MBA programme. But you should score atleast 50% in your B.Tech or else even if you qualify in CAT and get a seat in any college, your admission will be cancelled for not fulfiling the eligibility criteria of CAT. This means, if you write CAT before your B.Tech final year results, your admission will be provisional. Your admission will be termed complete and final only if you meet the eligibility criteria.
