You can apply under NRI only if you are a non resident Indian or your father or you mother is a NRi, You cannot apply under both the category, you need to select either of them i.e. go for NRI category or General Category.
The list of documents you need to submit while filling the online application form under NRI:
- Qualifying examination marksheet.
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from a country other than India need to submit a certificate from the Indian Embassy/ Indian Consulate or Associaltion of Indian Universitites, New Delhi to effect the examination passed is similar to the qualifying examination of Indian System.
- Nationality Proof.
- Certificate from Indian Embassy or Indian consulate of the country where NRi is residing be submitted to the effect that the father or mother of the candidate or the candidate himself is a NRI.
- A true verified copy of the passport accredited by the Indian Embassy or Indian Consulate of the country where NRi is residing.
- Transfer & Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
