Hello,
Over 12 Lakh candidates apply for JEE Main. If we go by the official figures, 11,98,989 students registered for JEE Main 2018, out of which 8,62,526 were male, 3,36,460 were female and 3 were transgenders.
Around 2.25 lakh students appeared for computer-based test, while, 9.25 lakh opted for the offline exam last year.

Around 10 to 12lakh students generally apply for Jee Mains this year out of which last year 2.31 lakh candidates were shortlisted for Jee Advanced base don cutoff by Jee Main Authorities in all categories.
This year too expected number within 13lacs.
