On what basis do they select for BTech courses

Does jawaharlal nehru university offer btech courses??if yes then do they take any entrance or give seats on the basis of jee marks..?

Hello Piyush,

Mostly in BTech courses through JEE Main, both JEE marks as well as board marks are important.

The board marks varies through states as one may have 50% cutoff but one may have a higher of 60% cutoff for boards exams.

Also in several places boards exams marks are important to calcuated the rank also, so higher the marks better the rank.

For B. Tech courses you need to be a PCM student or science stream student in your 10+2 board. Selection is done on the basis of entrance exams. JEE is also a entrance exam you can give other entrance exams such as MHT CET, TNEA, etc these are state level entrance exams and JEE is a national level entrance exam. Some universities take their own entrance exam.
