once a CAT score is given out do IIMS shortist the candidates for thier instiute on their own based on the central data avaialable or we have to personally apply to each IIM stating our CAT score we are interested in.

Dear Aspirant,
When you fill the application form for CAT at that time only you select the colleges and automatically apply to such so u don't have to apply each college seperately.
So according to the cut off IIM gives you the call if you are eligible
