One of my classmate has pcm stream with english, hindi and I. T as other subjects, so is it possible to remove a subject from pcm to make 12th cbse board percentage

Hi,

Yes, if your classmate has 6 subjects, then Information Technology (I.T.) can usually replace a lower-scoring additional subject like for example Hindi while calculating the overall “best 5” percentage.

However, core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics cannot be replaced because they are compulsory for Science stream eligibility and for courses like Engineering.

So generally, percentage can be improved using I.T. in the best 5 calculation, but PCM subjects will still remain mandatory.
