CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a centralized legal entrance examination. The test provides examinees with admission opportunities to 18 premier law colleges across India. CLAT scores are also accepted by 43 other education institutes and 2 public sector institutes.

CLAT is conducted by 18 NLUs in India. The chance of each of the listed colleges to conduct the test is arranged according to their date of establishment. For instance, the first CLAT was conducted in 2008 by National Law School of India University.CLAT is a 200 marks examination that goes on for 2 hours. It consists of multiple choice questions under five sections. You can get an overview of the syllabus and score structure below:

· English grammar and comprehension (40 marks)

· General knowledge and current affairs (50 marks)

· Elementary Mathematics (20 marks)

· Legal aptitude (50 marks)

· Logical reasoning (40 marks)

Every correct answer to the MCQs earns 1 mark and on the other hand, for every wrong answer you end up losing -0.25 marks.
