can a study from othet state apply for it? If he/she can then what is the %quota for other states?
Hello Ankit,
You have not mentioned the entrance exam for which you want the details. If you are talking of national level exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or BITSAT, almost anyone can take them. Also, if the entrance exam is conducted by central or state governments, reservation of seats is done as per prescribed guidelines; remember, the reservation criteria may vary from state to state.
As for other state candidates, generally, you are not eligible to claim a seat under that state's reservation criteria. Also, there will only be a small percentage of seats that will be available for you, and that too in mostly private colleges. For example, admission to undergraduate admission in Maharashtra, based on JEE Main and MHT CET scores, is available in private institutes only for other state candidates. Among them include Instutue of Chemical Technology (offers 30% seats to All India Candidates)
Regards.
