Dear Aspirant,
Other than programming there is not much in computer science. However, one of the equally vast and highly employable field in computer science is Computer Networks, in which you deal with complexities of how networks work and what underlying architecture is used. However, if by self employment you mean freelance work, then you will not be able to get freelance work in networking.
