Solution : Given: P is 4 times more efficient than Q.
P takes 45 days less than Q to complete a work.
Let the time taken by Q to complete the work be $x$.
So, time taken by A to complete the work = $(x-45)$
According to the question,
⇒ $x=4 imes(x-45)$
⇒ $3x=180$
⇒ $x=60$
So, efficiency of Q $=\frac{1}{60}$
Efficiency of P $=\frac{1}{15}$
If P and Q work together, part of the work done by them in a day $=\frac{1}{60}+\frac{1}{15}=\frac{1}{12}$
$ herefore$ Total time taken to complete the work = 12 days
Hence, the correct answer is 12.
