Hello Dear Student,

Admission to the Ph.D. program at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara requires a Master's degree in the relevant or an allied discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks . The selection process consists of a Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a personal interview .

• Application Window: June 25 to July 31, 2026
• Entrance Test/Interview: August 6 to August 8, 2026

Eligibility criteria

• Educational Qualification: Master's degree in the relevant or allied discipline with 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade).
• Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (minimum 50%) is available for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwD candidates.
• Entrance Test Exemption: Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, SLET , or hold a JRF are exempt from the written entrance test but must appear for the personal interview.

   • Registration Fee: Approximately Rs 4,000
2. Research Entrance Test (RET): Conducted for candidates who are not exempt.
