Please explain the procedure for UPSC preparation after btech
Hi student,
UPSC is undoubtedly the toughest entrance examination for getting into civil services. So first of all you need to be patient as well as hard working. To start off the UPSC preparation, you should start reading a good newspaper like the hindu or the Indian express. Remember that you need to read only one of the newspaper because reading newspaper is not as easy as it sounds. You need to start with reading newspaper carefully and it may take upto 2 hours per day. After this keep yourself updated regularly with the current affairs of the nation and world. After this start reading NCERTs of economics, politics and history and geography from class 6th to class 12th. This will help you with the base. Then read standard books like laxmikant, g c leong, indian Economy by ramesh singh, india art and culture by nitin singhania, etc. But keep in mind that you have to stick to the syllabus. Do not read extra. The syllabus for UPSC examination is very extensive and diverse. You need to be really hard working and dedicated towards it.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
