plied voltage in a routine test for one minute
Hello Candidate,
Applied-voltage tests apply a high voltage to all bushings of a winding, one winding at a time, with the other windings grounded. The insulator to be tested is mounted in the same manner in which it is to be used and the insulator must be capable of withstanding the specified voltage for one minute without flashover.
The applied test voltage of 2000 volts is applied for duration of one minute. The insulation of auxiliary and control circuit should pass this test, and there should not be any destructive discharge during the test.
Hope you found it helpful. If you have further more queries, feel free to post it here!!
