Hello aspirant,

Here are a few things that shall help you with your questions.

There are approximately 10,000 seats in all of the IITs combined together.
A total number of 200,000 students appear to get into the IITs in JEE ADVANCED examination
Difference between mains and advanced is basically that you can get an IIT after qualifying JEE Advanced whereas you shall get an NIT after doing well in JEE Mains.
