Rashtragan or National Anthem is a patriotic musical composition symbolizing and evoking eulogies of the history and traditions of a country or nation. Jana Gana Mana is the national anthem of India. It was originally composed as Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata in Bengali by polymath Rabindranath Tagore. The first stanza of the song Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the National Anthem on 24 January, 1950. It was translated into Hindi by Abid Ali. The song was first sung on December 27, 1911 in the Calcutta Session of Indian National Congress.
