Hello Dear Student,
With AIR 6978 and TNR 1943 , getting Aerospace Engineering at SASTRA is still possible in later counselling/sliding rounds, especially if vacancies arise after the initial allotments. SASTRA continues multiple rounds of allotment, sliding, and vacancy-based counselling for students who were not allotted seats in earlier rounds.
A few points in your favor:
- Aerospace is generally less competitive than branches like CSE, IT, and ECE.
- Students who do not receive allotments in Round 1 are automatically considered for subsequent rounds and merged counselling rounds.
- Your TNR 1943 is reasonably competitive for a specialized branch such as Aerospace.
- SASTRA's counselling process includes sliding and vacancy filling, which can lead to movement in branch allotments after the first few rounds.
What should you do now?
- Keep checking the official SASTRA Deemed University admission portal for further allotment and sliding results.
- Do not lose hope because students without Round 1 or Round 2 allotments are still considered in later rounds.
- Keep Aerospace and related branches high in your preference order if branch changes are permitted.
Hope it helps!
