procedure for applying medical counselling in delhi
Kanval, the DGHS on behalf of the NMC will conduct Delhi NEET counselling. Once the NEET results have been declared and the cut offs released, the DGHS will release the notification for Medical Counselling. Only qualified candidates can register and attend the counselling process. There are 2 types of fees that you need to pay. One is non refundable registration fees and the other is refundable security deposit. During every phase of counselling, you will be able to fill your choice of Medical colleges and lock your options. And let's say if you for some reason forgot to lock your choices, the choices that you have filled in will be locked by the system automatically at 5pm on the last day of choice filling. Now during 1st phase of counselling, if you get a seat and you are happy with it, you confirm the choice and download the allotment letter and complete the process of document verification. Then you have to go to the respective college with required documents and submit the required documents and seek admission. Now lets say you are not happy with the college that you have been allotted. You can opt for "Free exit" or "Virtual Vacancy". Free exit means you will not be penalised for leaving the college. And virtual vacancy means you will vacate the seat only if you get a better college in the subsequent rounds. And if you get a seat in the 2nd round, the process remains the same. And after 2nd round of counselling, there might be mop up round as well. If you do not get a seat, subjective to the the rules, your security fund will be refunded to the same account the payment was made from.
