Qualification to become assistant professor in nit

As per the recruitment rules for faculty of NITS,

Candidates with M Tech  can become Assistant Professor(on contractual basis) if they are at advanced state of PhD work in any reputed institute with age limit below 30 years,

for Assistant Professor(grade pay of Rs 7000) candidates need to have two SCI Journal papers or one patents based on PhD work within age limit of 35 years,

Assistant Professor (grade pay of Rs 8000) candidates with relevant experience of three years after Phd or six years after MTech Degree(minus the enrollment period), along with this two SCI journals outside the work of PhD,one ongoing sponsored project, two experimental or computational projects, one PhD supervision ongoing/one patent/relevant experience in research and development, project supervision on live industrial problems concerning BTech/MTech/MSc.

To become assistant professor in NIT you must have a minimum of 6 years Teaching / Industry / Research experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.

And you must also have Essential Qualification that is Ph. D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with a very good academic record.
