Since the bomb was initially at rest and it explodes into internal force therefore the total net external force on the bomb is zero and hence linear momentum is conserved.

Therefore let p be the momentum

Then

M+xi-2xj=0

Therefore

M= 2xj-xi

Therefore magnitude of m is X sq root of 5.
