Respected sir/madam I have done my schooling in Telangana but i have completed my 12th standarded in Andhra Pradesh. All my residency proofs like caste, income certificate and aadhar card belongs to Andhra Pradesh. Now where do i get a free seat???
Hello,
Since your residency and documents belong to Andhra Pradesh, you will be eligible for a free or government quota seat under the Andhra Pradesh state counselling. Even though you studied in Telangana, your domicile and certificates decide your state eligibility.
You can apply through AP EAPCET counselling for admission in engineering, agriculture, or pharmacy colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
Hope you understand.
Hello, Based on the information you've provided, you will be eligible for a "free seat" (a subsidized, reserved seat) in Andhra Pradesh.
For state-level admissions (like AP EAPCET for engineering or medical), your "local status" is the most important factor. Since you completed your 12th standard (the qualifying examination) in Andhra Pradesh and all your residency proofs like Caste, Income, and Aadhar certificates belong to A.P., you will be treated as a local candidate of Andhra Pradesh.
Even though you did your earlier schooling in Telangana, your eligibility for state-quota seats is determined by where you hold your residency and where you passed your qualifying exam. Therefore, you must apply for counseling in Andhra Pradesh to claim a subsidized seat under the local category. You would likely be considered a "non-local" candidate for Telangana admissions.
I hope you found this information helpful and for any study related queries you can ask in careers360 app, Have a great day!
