Sainik School Satara admits students through the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) followed by the counselling process. Admission is generally available for Class VI and Class IX.

For Class VI, boys and girls in the prescribed age group can apply, whereas Class IX admission is for boys meeting the specified age and Class VIII requirements. Admission is based on merit and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
