(100- percentile)*number of students appeared/100

That will be in range 86900-120000.

One can get into any good NITs for hardly upto 35000 general rank. In case you are from northeast then this may extend somewhat. So, if you don't have northeastern state as state of eligibility than you will not get into any of NITs even for lowest branch.

Yes, there are some chances of getting a good NIT seat for 90 percentile score. But still your categories and quotas plays a very major role. So, I suggest you to be cautious while doing option entry in JOSAA. Prepare well and Study hard.
