should I make an affidavit before document verification in clg admission or after they will asked me to show an affidavit??? because my father's surname is in caste certificate but not in 10th certificate.

It is better to file for am affidavit before the process of verification of forms begins and keep the proof of the affidavit with you to be presented if and when required. It is always best to be prepared for anything rather than being sorry for it later.
