The Department of Mechanical Engineering established in 2008, is the second oldest and largest department of VIT-East, and has traversed the path of knowledge dissemination and generation as well as delivering over 1000 Mechanical Engineering graduates to the Nation. Over these 10 glorious years, it has carved a niche for itself in the key areas of teaching, research, consultancy, administration and community services.
The Department prioritizes the necessary revamping of Mechanical Engineering education, which is driven primarily by dynamics of technological advances and sustainable development and with the active involvement of industries, alumni, research organizations and other stakeholders, 9 faculty members are presently working in our department.
The course is affiliated with, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

fees per year is 90k which is okay and near to average fee structure for a engineering college. it accepts jee main and UNI-GAUGE-E for admission into different streams of engineering for BTECH.
