Yes, surely you should.
As per my experience, these things work crazily and miraculously. Anything might work for you. It's totally unpredictable.
Due to multiple counseling, people take decisions and they work accordingly.
Therefore, many mechanisms such as spot rounds, last round confusions work in great favour for some students and they get way better than expected.
