Well, eligibility criteria for BCA is students need to passsed 10+2 with 55%, there's relaxation for other categories.
Admission for BCA Course is through entrance exam, there are also direct admission process.
In cases of admission based on the marks of 12th standard, it depends on the cut-off marks, and availability of seats, there are occasions where seats are vacant after few merit lists are out and people get admission.
Not just in terms of merit list criteria, but if we talk generally about renowned institutes including those who conduct entrance test, there's so much competition, and seats get filled very quickly in first merit list itself.
