You have to appear for JEE Mains April session because in 2019, an All India rank of 868 secured a seat in CSE branch in VNIT, Nagpur which is the NIT in Maharashtra. Now though this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year, it is unlikely that the ranks will be as high as 34,000. Home State ranks are lesser than other state ranks and so you will have to appear for April Session to improve your percentile to be able to try for VNIT, or any other NIT for that matter.
