sir I got 118 marks in 7th january second shift what is my expected percentile..??
Hello! As we all know JEE Mains is a national level exam that is conducted across various centers in India, qualifying which will help you to get admission to many prestigious colleges in the country. As for now, Jee Mains is conducted twice a year and your exact rank will be out once the result after april attempt is out. Using the previous year data, we can estimate your rank.
Let us first try to calculate your percentile. The percentile for JEE Mains is calculated shiftwise, so your percentile would be calculated as:
(No. of people having less than 118 marks in second shift/total number of students present in second shift)*100
So taking into consideration the previous year's data your percentile will vary from 97.13841571 - 96.41990133 . This percentile will vary according to no. of students attempting the paper in your shift and the hardness level of the paper.
For calculating your rank we will be using the formula:
1+((100-P) * No. of total students appearing)/100)
You will get your finalized rank after the april exam is over. Your rank estimated from previous year's data will be roaming between 18378 - 34000
