Hello,
Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in NIT under ST category. You need to secure a (category) rank below 4000 to have decent chances to get seat in NIT. As you have secured a rank above 17000 you do not have chances to get seat in NIT. To check the previous year cut off use the link below

Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
