Hello sir,

As you are a general category student it is very tough to get an NIT. For taking admission in an NIT the rank must lie under 50k. Then only you can get admission in NIT.

But one thing more , as you are asking about chemical and biotech branch which are not much focused by many students so you are having some chances regarding this. May be in second last or last phase of counselling you may get a seat in a NIT.

Be patience and wait for some time.

No even for branches like chemical and biotevbiotech you need to have a rank in between 23k-25k as a general category student if you want admission in other state NITs else you can easily get these branches in home state NITs.
