Yes you can change your category in the jee main april session only if you have valid EWS certificate. There is a correction window for joint entrance examination main april session which will start from 8/3/2020-12/3/2020. During this correction window you can correct your application from which includes your category too. You may need to pay additional fee depending on the field of correction
