sir I have done my graduation 2021 in b.tech. I want to prepare for CAT exam ? but I have less in 10th cgpa (7.3) . what are the chances to get into iim's ?
Hello Aspirant,
See it is quite difficult to predict your chances from any particular IIM because you don't have your CAT percentile but yes as per the analysis of current data, with the academic record that you have mentioned in the question you should have at least 99+ percentile in CAT for top IIMs such as IIM A/B/C/L and for average IIMs 96+ percentile would also work. Merely from less score in 10th your admission chances will not be much affected because there are different parameters to be considered while shortlisting the candidates for IIMs.
Let me make you more clear with the admission criteria of IIMs by taking an example of top most IIM i.e. IIM Ahmedabad :-
IIM Ahmedabad
Admission process for IIM A is a two step process. First step is for preliminary screening on the basis of Sectional cut-offs and overall cut-offs along with different rating points for IIM A which are described in the tables below and you need to clear sectional cut-off as well as Overall cut-off :-
