sir I have find 94.6 percentile in JEE mains.which nit I addmission in. comfortable.I got CSE.. branches
Hi
I am assuming that you belong to general category
With 94.6 percentile
-
Your rank will be 55242 - 62100 around as per our rank predictor at
Your profile suggest that your home state is Haryana and so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT krukshetra but even under home state your chances are extremely low .
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 44723 rank was closing rank for gender neutral for general category under home state in NIT krukshetra and it was for Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)
Under other state quota even in lower NITs your chances are low
For example,
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for general category :-
-
National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412
-
National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757
-
National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into an NIT. And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 95.5 - 96 percentile as per our rank predictor at
While,
For computer science engineering you should try to get at least 28 k rank i. e 97.5 percentile
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 28003 rank was closing rank for gender neutral for general category under other state for computer science in NIT Manipur which is one of the lower NITs.

Hello Ajit,
I hope you are doing well.
You have scored a good percentile but let us see what scopes you have for NITs with CSE branch.
Let at have some analysis on your percentile for clearance.
If we look at the percentile you have mentioned then we will find that your general rank will be somewhere around 55242 - 62100.
You can check your rank yourself by going through our rank predictor tool. I am attaching the link for it below.
You should note that the actual rank and predicted rank can vary as it depends on various factors.
Now as you have not mentioned your category so I will consider you as a general candidate.
Now on this rank there is rare chance that you will get CSE in any NITs during JOSAA counseling unless and until your homestate is any Northeast states like Tripura, Manipur, Sikkim etc.
For other branches too you have wait till 7th round of counseling or you can fight for CSAB round as there is chance of magic in that round.
I will also suggest you give your best for the remaining attempts of JEE Main which will be held soon in this month(July). To go through the supplement designed by our experts to boost your JEE Main preparation. Below I am adding the link of it too.
