Why would you do a diploma if you are doing B.Tech? The degree should be enough to get a job. My suggestion is to see the job portals for job profiles on Petroleum Engg, talk to your professors in the college, seniors too and also placement incharge. That way you will know what kinds of jobs you may get and any extra certification if needed.
