Hey there
It's good to hear that from now you are sincere about your career so to become a software engineer I suggest you to choose computer science engineering. Also you can start coding on a daily basis from now. Do not put the whole day on learning coding but a small time on it so that you won't face issues in college. Start learning by java or python from beginning.
