you did not mention which course you are pursuing right now, or from which institute. some times internal marks are added with the final semester marks if final exam is done on less than 100 marks. so if your internal marks is less, final marks will also decrease. hope you get my point.

you did not mention which college you are studying and which course you are pursuing right now. internal exam held in colleges to check the students progress for a particular syllabus. there may be not fixed pass marks for internal exam, but some times that effect on your board exam marks. some engineering colleges final semester exam is done on 70 marks and 30 marks added from college which is the internal marks. so if you get low score on internal your final marks will be also less.
