The JEE mains is held twice from year 2019, one in January and the other in April and will be conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency instead of CBSE). The two percentiles will however not be added, but rather the best of the two scores will be considered while preparing the merit/rank list.
This will reduce chances of dropping a complete year and a candidate can improve or work upon his/her weakness after the first attempt.

These two scores are different and your best performance from these two will be taken into account for your rank determination. These don't get added up.
