Sir Let me know prosperative in Study in Engineering.and what course is highest prosperative for future job in Engineering
Hello Sayan,
Engineering was considered to be a very good field for doing graduation and was given the highest precedence among B.Sc, B.A, B.Com, and almost all the other graduating streams, but soon it turned to a business as the number of seats in old engineering colleges were limited as compared to the aspirants, and therefore several private institutions were started. These institutions demanded fees twice the government colleges kept. But since getting a degree of B.Tech was considered a symbol of pride among the society, people started getting into these colleges, and this is how several institutions started developing that gave education but not quality education. Today the scene is, the number of engineers produced is quite large than the number of engineers absorbed, causing unemployment and a decrease in the pay of highly qualified people.
But this is not the case with skilled labor. Among the above-mentioned crowd, there are some people that complete their B.Tech from a good college and try to learn what is being taught to them during these four years. They develop skills and develop a practical approach towards the situations. Problem-solving and analyzing along with reasoning skills of some students get developed when they try to involve in what is taught to them. Case studies and projects, form an important part of their curriculum. You may consider some IITs and some NITs along with a few private colleges in India to be a part of such a college community, still, this quality varies from student to student.
Having practical knowledge, and good problem solving as well as reasoning skills can make a student get the best out of his engineering years. This is the quality that is demanded throughout life, irrespective of the profession. Managing skills are enhanced when you do Engineering. Adaptability, patience, and ability to reuse and modify the existing ideas, in order to make it better and better get developed. This is what a company wants. They want their employees to work so, that with minimum cost and investment, a large profit is gathered. The product should be free from defects, long lasting and with minimum maintenance. This is what engineers are taught.
Now talking about the branches that have the highest placement or opportunity for a future job in Engineering can be as follows:
- CSE-Computer Science Engineering: Since India is becoming Digital and there are several start-ups that are starting on a daily basis, there is a huge demand for web developers, software Engineers, data analytics, graphic designers and operators, security analysts, and many more people who have a good knowledge of computer networks, hardware, and working principle. Therefore, we can assume that CSE has the broadest scope in today's time, as well as the highest demand. The highest packages that are offered to students belong to the CSE category only. The packages often start from 1 LPA and go up to 3 crores per anum, depending on the company, colleges, and most importantly the skills of the person. But as there is greater return in this branch, you will see most of the graduates are from the CSE category only, as well as the new admitting students, also demand CSE branch because of its highest placement statistics.
- IT- This is the second most preferred branch, probably because it is like the subset of CSE. Here too students are taught how to code, data analytics, cybersecurity as well as some knowledge about the hardware. But being a subset it is always behind CSE.
- ECE- The third most preferred branch, this branch can be thought as of the mixture of IT and EEE. The branch can be thought of as to cover three streams, which are electrical, Communication, and Electronics. Since the students are taught too much and pertaining to various fields, they develop more skills, and finally, the career opportunities are increased.
- MECHANICAL Engineering- You can consider this branch to be the heart of Engineering. This branch has the maximum opportunities in government, corporate and private sectors. Specialization courses can lead to outstanding placements. Foreign education will lead to an increase in the chances of placement. People of this branch find opportunities in the government sector, PSUs, automobile engineering and much more. \
- Now coming to other branches which although are very interesting to opt but have very limited scope in India. These branches are such that if completed through the elite institutions of the country, for example, the IITs are worth, else it leads to unemployment. Such branches include CIVIL engineering, CHEMICAL Engineering, MECHATRONICS, BIOTECH, etc ...
Hope this helps
Regards.
Hi Sayan.Yes engineering is a very good option to be choosed in today's world.Once if you get excelled in it then your job packages would be really unbelievable. And coming to course cse and ece are the top two courses which have a good future in engineering. And a new course data analytics which comes under cse is aslo a very good course which will have a good future in engineering.
